MEMORY #2

I was lucky enough to find love at the young age of 17.  During our adventure together, he left for an internship for a few months. On his way out of town he left this song (and recording) in my mailbox. Such simple lyrics that touched my heart more than he will ever know.

(I still listen to this song when things get rough.)

I LOVE
I love the way she calls me baby
And how a kiss with those lips
can drive me crazy.

I know I'm not supposed to crave her

but some times I think I can savor

She's always on my mind.

5'9", blonde hair,
and those green, green eyes are on my mind, all the time.

I love the way she holds her hair,

and when she asks my advice on what to wear
I tell myself I'm acting crazy, but in my head my
thoughts betray me.

She's always on my mind,

and I love the small things,
like laughing all the time.

The sun is rising, so it's time to say goodbye.

and as I drive away, the words I say- echo in my mind
You know I gotta go away, but I'm coming home some day
and until then, I pray that I'm worth the wait.

'Cause you are always on my mind.

And so you know, I'm not leaving you behind.

Here's my heart, I'm never far.

Gotta go away.

Just for a day you know.
'Til then I pray I'm worth the wait.
